Dear Babac Customers,

It is with great pride that we launch the first ever website in Babac’s 79 year history. Our company has come a long way since my father Philip Backman founded the company in 1931.

In 1946, I joined the company as a teenager to help stock shelves so I could earn some extra pocket money for the summer. I then parlayed my new found knowledge of bicycle parts from working in the warehouse to a full time job in the front office and helped my father with cataloguing, purchasing and sales for 24 great years.

When my father passed away in 1970, I took over as Babac’s  president. Since then we have been able to expand to serve clients all across Canada and have partnered with high quality international manufacturers including Kool Stop, Vuelta, Sturmey Archer, Wellgo Pedal, Shimano, Park Tool, Schwalbe, Zéfal, Allen Rack, Polisport and Purple Extreme, just to name a few.

Our new site will allow you to shop online at your own convenience, check out any new products we have recently received and take advantage of any new specials offered. While I hope you all take advantage of these new tools, I hope it will not deter you from stopping by our office in the east-end of Montreal, I still love talking shop and enjoy delivering orders personally.
